IBExpert Educational Version

If you are a student, pupil, teacher or lecturer, and wish to use IBExpert as part of your university or school course, you may be entitled to our free IBExpert Educational Version, offered exclusively for this purpose.

The only restriction is the limitation of the database size to a maximum of 50MB (for those requiring larger databases please refer to the IBExpert Educational Full Version). There are no further constraints, so that IBExpert can be optimally used, together with the free database servers, InterBase® 6 Open Source or Firebird, at no cost, allowing you to study the manifold possibilities a relational database has to offer and to learn professional database programming.

To apply for the free Educational Version please send us an email with the following details:

  • The educational institution (university, school, college …) where IBExpert is to be used, a brief description of the course, where you plan to use IBExpert and the email address of the corresponding educational institution.

You will also need to register in the IBExpert Download Center. Simply fill in the registration details to receive a personal password, allowing you access to the IBExpert Download Center files. Once we have verified your email application, you will be granted access to the IBExpert Educational Version in the Download Center.

Important! The download information may only be sent to an email address at a university or school domain! We cannot dispatch download information to a freemail address!
